Infectious and Tropical Diseases Research Center

Introduction

The Infectious and Tropical Diseases Research Center, part of the Health Research Institute at Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences, was established in 2003 with the mission of fostering a research-oriented culture and developing innovative, evidence-based solutions for public health challenges related to infectious and tropical diseases.

The center is dedicated to training qualified researchers, advancing the frontiers of fundamental medical sciences, and improving community health outcomes through applied and collaborative research. It also serves as a hub for scientific consultation and interdisciplinary cooperation in combating infectious diseases.

Currently, the center collaborates with various specialized research units in the province, including those focusing on diabetes, Thalassemia, and Hemoglobinopathy, under the umbrella of the Health Research Institute.
