Department of Parasitology
Introduction of the Group
The Department of Parasitology was established in 1958. Currently, the Department offers its scientific-research activities in the form of teaching credits for students of different medical sciences (undergraduate, postgraduate, master, doctorate and Ph.D.) and research in various fields of parasitic diseases.
The science of Parasitology is one of the basic medical science disciplines that are considered among the most common medical disciplines. The Parasitology credit is one of the credits that is taught by the faculty members of the Parasitology Department in various medical sciences, including:
- Bachelor of Laboratory Sciences
- Food Industry
- Public Health
- Occupational Health
- Operating Room
- Nursing & Midwifery
- Medicine
- Pharmacy
- Dentistry
- MSc Mycology
- MSc Entomology
Additionally, the Parasitology Department admits students in specialized master's and doctoral levels to the College each year through an exam and among qualified graduate and postgraduate students who are responsible for teaching, counseling and guidance to these students.
