On 10 December 2025, the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery at Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences (AJUMS) held an educational workshop entitled “Practical Strategies on Paper and Plastic Reduction and Effective Waste Segregation.”

The workshop aimed to raise awareness among faculty and staff regarding sustainable office practices, with a focus on decreasing paper and plastic consumption and improving proper waste sorting across academic departments.

Participants received concise, practical guidance on minimizing the use of disposable materials, promoting digital document management, reusing resources when possible, and correctly separating recyclable waste. The workshop also highlighted global statistics on plastic pollution and emphasized the environmental responsibility of academic institutions.

This initiative is part of the faculty’s comprehensive plan to advance environmental stewardship.
