About the Center
The core founding committee of the Diabetes Research Center commenced its activities in 2003 (1382 SH). By spearheading specialized research projects and student theses, including Master's and PhD programs in this field, the committee submitted all necessary documentation for the center's establishment to the Ministry of Health and Medical Education by 2007 (1386 SH).
The principle approval for the Diabetes Research Center was granted by the Ministry of Health in August 2008 (Shahrivar 1387 SH), and the center officially began its operations.

Our aspiration is to establish a leading organization in health-related research, particularly for individuals with diabetes. We aim to produce knowledge and research technologies to increase awareness, preserve and enhance public health, and prevent diabetes in accordance with global standards. By leveraging our capabilities, we strive to achieve superior scientific and practical prominence both nationally and regionally.

Our mission is to expand research to promote human health and produce scientific-practical knowledge based on societal needs. We aim to advance the frontiers of science through basic and applied research in collaboration with other research centers. We strive to transform this center into a premier educational and research hub within Iran and globally, dedicated to enhancing the health of individuals with diabetes while adhering to ethical principles and promoting the quality of various activities, including the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diabetes.
